Monday 28 March 2011 Dear Mum Thank you for taking my group (Sam,Vinu, Matty ) on the amazing race on Thursday. We had heaps of fun learning about Game on and what they offer. I loved climbing up kiwi 360 and finding the clue that took us to the redwoods. I had a challenging time trying to get all the answers, but got there in the end. We were then lead to do a fun quiz at Te Puia and we had a really challenging time doing the maze and ended up coming 27th. Dear Earth to ocean.
Thank you for letting Rimu house come and use you and all your equipment for the amazing race. We had such a blast and it would not have been so amazing if you were not able to host us.
I really liked the way we had to write down on the cards the sea creature in the bag it was so cool.

Monday 4th April
WALT:Reflect on our experience of the
AMAZING RACE REFLECTION
Day one Te puna katikati Whahi Karangake gorge
On day one I really enjoyed the Karangahake gorge it was really fun running through the tunnel to the end of the race. What I think put us back a bit in the race was that we had to go and get petrol and then we had to find the right road. I now think we should of stayed together in the tunnel because then we would of got a better place. Our group(Sam, Matty, Vinu, Me) came 19th on day one for the amazing race.
Day two - Papamoa- Kiwi 360 -Rotorua
On day two I really enjoyed going to game on I really liked doing the question air it was fun finding all of the questions. We did all of the activities real fast and came out real happy with our effort. What I think really slowed us down on day two was the maze we would of come one of the top ten if we new how to get into the maze what I did not really like was the maze I was really hard and our group was stuck out for a while we were jogging most of the way another favourite of mine was the kiwi 360 I had to run up to the top to find the next clue it was really fun and we were abel to pass some cars but then it came back at us on the maze and Ended up coming 27th one day two of the amazing race!!!
Day three - Mount ,Tauranga On day three I really enjoyed going diving and having to write down the sea creatures in the bag. We had to go around the pool twice before we could get out of the pool and find the next clue under some crates I did not like waiting for our fish and chips it was a long and very boring few hours but we got there in the end we had to go to a park to eat them and to find the next clue. I really liked going to the art gallery to find out about Lynly Dodd and her life about writing another favourite of mine was the elms it was fun and exciting finding out the information about the Elms and seeing were my Mum and Dad got married also ringing the big bell at the end of the day we came 29th on the final day of the amazing race.By Georgia Henstock

I like how you use a lot of interesting images in your Brochure adding on to that i like all of the persuasive writing in the Brochure Excellent spelling as well.All you will need is more information about the topic or theme.

Why kiwis are the best

I think kiwis are the best because most of us have the opportunity to go our beautiful beach`s only ten minutes from home compared to some other country`s where you have to spend 5 hours in the car because you live in the middle of the county.We have invented some really cool things like hokey pokey ice cream.Kiwis have some awesome food out there including food from other country`s like curry, sushi and all other foods.We had some wicked bush walks and biking tracks.Our rugby is our best sport and we our very proud but not only do we have rugby but we have Olympic winers for rowing.
we love to have awesome holidays at the beach,bush,batch also love having fun camping with or family`s and friends in the winter we like skiing down mount ruapahu but you can also go to the top of the mountain were you can have a cup of tea and then ski down to the bottom.Kiwis are the best !!!!
