7th July 2011 Walt Write about the plot,setting,characters,theme of our novel and to write a critical response S.C we have described three characters looks and personalities identified the man themes in our novel described in detail where our novel takes place so that a picture is formed in the readers head. listed the main events about the story written about what we liked and didn`t like about our novel and given a recommendation for intended audience
It is really like how you have kept the theme all the way through, like the same colour in the back round, but it is a bit fuzzy and I is always a capital letter, and there are a few spelling problems. and I can't even read the plot because it is so fuzzy. I like the colour that you have chosen and if it was not fuzzy the colour of the text would be very clear. I also like how you have a picture of the author! I like how you have put a thing when you click characters it comes up so you can chose what character you want to read. Next time you should make your setting and theme longer. Great job. Ella

I think that this a novel about a boy called Angus.
It sounds like he is the oldest out of his brothers and sisters because it sounds like he has to do all of the work for his mum and while she is at work
working long and hard hours and he is stuck at home wiping food off walls and changing nappies (this is why i think this novel is called BumFace).

Why would Angus’s dad be out of depth looking after Leo and Imogen?Because he has got heaps of kids around at his place and he is not matura enough and he could not control his kid's √
What does Priscilla do for a living? Looking after her kids. √
How old do you think Angus is? about 10√
What makes you think this? because he has to look after his sister and brother and cook dinner for them.√
How old are Leo and Imogen? Leo is a five year old and imogen is a 1 and a half.√
Why has Angus missed the last few rehearsals? Because he has to look after his brother and sister after school.√
Do you think that it is fair he got kicked out of the play? No because he has to look after his brother and sister.√
Why does Angus hope that his mum doesn’t have any more babies? Because then he will have to look after it while his mum is at work.√
Is Angus annoyed that he has to look after Leo and Imogen? He is a bit because if he didn't he would be in the school play.√

Why would Angus never have a life if his mum has another baby? Because he will have to look after it and then he won't be able to go and play with his mates and have fun like other kids do!!!√
How does Angus know that number four doesn’t like kids? Because he was acting like he was groaning and acting like the kids were annouing√
Why is Angus so concerned with his mum taking her pill? Because she might forget!!!and have another baby.√
How would you feel if you were in the same situation as the kids this weekend and being taken from place to place where the people are too busy to look after you? I would feel very sad like nobody loves me or wants me and my brothers and sisters.√
Why do you think Priscilla’s parents were so shocked with Angus’ question? Because it is something that a kid shouldn't say that young!!√

Why does Leo think that the family they see on the street are a tv family?Because they eat there ice creams like they are a t.v family and they don't have any drips on them!!!√
Why was Angus having so much fun mucking around with Rindi and his siblings?Because he was in his pirate mood and was having fun playing and going on missions!!!√
What do you think has made Rindi so upset? Because he thinks that she can't remember to do things?√
Session Seven Read chapters 12, 13 and 14
Why is Angus worried about Rindi?Because she moody and Angus thought that he had said something.√
Why does Angus not want his school mates to know he is looking after his brother and sister? Because he is embarrassed that they might tees himand because his mum is on T.V and a reporter might fing out.√
Why does Angus feel sick at the end of chapter 12? Because he was going to raid the medical place were they are showing samples of equipment for his mum.√
Why is Angus allowed back in the play? Because number three and number two are helping in the play.√
What is plan P? Getting emogen and using her as a distraction for the guards and salesmen with her bear (Sindney) and a ice cream half melted and Leo watching the stroller.√
What is Rindi being forced to do? Go to india and get married to a 22 year old.√
How does Angus feel towards his mum? annoyed with his mum because she might be having another baby.√
Why does Angus think that his life is already over?Because his mum said that if things go well with Gavin then she will probably have another baby and he won't abel to have a life of his own.√

What is an arranged marriage? a marriage planned and agreed to by the families or guardians of the bride and groom, who have little or no say in the matter themselves.√
Why is Rindi getting made to marry so early? Because she has to it was part of the arranged marriage.so she can have kids in a few years.
Why does Angus feel slightly jealous when looking at Rindi’s mum?Because he would like to marry Rindi.he wants a mum like rindi's mum
What is Angus’ plan? To bring Patel to Angus's house and let his mum meet him also Rini was being rude with the yum in her mouth.
How does the arranged marriage make Angus feel? A bit angry Jealous but also sad for Rindi because he will never see her again.√

How did the class react when Angus confessed to stealing the Tamagotchi and then introduced Rindi as his girlfriend? They were all supprised with there mouth wide open.√
Why did Angus do all of this?To tell the class that he had stoll the tamagotchi and to prove that russell was giltie and that Patel would not want to marry a thief and hopefully Patel would not want to marry Rindi.√
Why did Angus feel an urgent need to look at his feet?Because he was nervous.√
Is Angus a good friend?Yes he is always thinking of Rindis needs and always wants to help her.√
How do you think the TV crew and the studio audience will react to Rindi and Angus getting married?I think they will over react and will be silly over the whole thing.√
What about their parents?I think that the parents will not except it and think they will go all mad.√

When Angus realises the wedding has gone to air he isn’t concerned about himself who is he concerned about?His Mum!!√
What makes Angus break down and cry? Because his mum and dad were saying that he was an parent so he screamed out that he was just a kid.√
Finally the pressure of having to act like a parent takes its toll on Angus and he breaks down calling out “I’m just a kid”.
What are the different kinds of emotions that he may be going through at this moment?Sad,frustrated,annoyed.√

What has changed about Angus’ family?That everyone has now noticed how hard Angus has worked and his family are being nice to him.√
What do you think they mean by too Australian to be an Indian wife?Because she is to out going and is to settle like any old Indian women getting married.√
Why was Angus disappointed with receiving money for looking after Leo and Imogen?Because he is just a kid and he dose not want money from his dad when he says he should have the money because he is a young parent. Because he dose it for love not for the money!!
How would you feel if you had to have your special birthday dinner in front of cameras for a publicity shoot?Embarrassed,i would just want my family with me not with the whole camera thing.√
What point is Angus trying to get across by swinging over the dinner in his Bumface jacket?That he is happy to be a pirate and to be with Rindi and his family.he is just a kid.
